That Burning Smell is Me Thinking…

Today we have guest photographer Dorothee. She used my camera to take this really cool pic of two wonderful people, Nate and Kris Denlinger.

Nate and Kris are some of my favorite people in the whole world. That is a good thing because Kris plays bass in the band I am in! This picture is really nice because it shows their closeness. They have a great relationship that makes it a joy to be around them. Nate is a sheet metal worker, musician and artist. Kris is also an aspiring writer and has been known to cook very large meals a few times a week.

I like pets, but often times I am thankful that I don’t have any because I would probably forget to feed them.

I grew up with dogs and cats. I have many great memories of hiking through the woods with the family dog, Ginger. She was a mix of Keeshaund and German Shepard. I have a picture of her somewhere, but it is not scanned in.

We also had some cuddly cats that would do crazy things, like chase bottle caps. I would tie a bottle cap to the end of fishing line and have hours of fun!
So here are some pictures of Sam (my sister’s dearly departed SomethingRetrever Mix) and My step-mom’s cat Grady.

I took these pictures about 14 years ago in Henderson, Texas. The camera was a Yashica Electro 35. I still have the camera, but I shoot mostly digital now. I have read that the lens on the Electro 35 is about 90% the quality of a Leica at a mere fraction of the price. I got the camera for free!

I took these pictures a couple of years ago while my step-mom, Kelsie, was having a Garage sale. We were playing in the front yard.

A couple of friends and I rode our bikes to the zoo.

We saw a Tiger, but it was sleeping.

The lions were moving around and roaring!

The Warthogs were beautiful in an ugly sort of way.

The monkeys were fun!

My friend from Gremany got to see a Giraffe for the first time!

On April 16th. I hope I don’t forget.

Here is one from the early 70s. The girl in the picture is my sister. Yes, I was trying to hide.

It seems like this thing is turning into a photo blog or something. Oh well. I have tons of pictures in iPhoto and it would just be a shame to not share them!

This is my sister’s dog. Her name is Roxy.

His name is Jim. This picture was taken about 2 1/2 years ago in Chicago. He wanted me to take a picture of him in the subway.
