90˚
Right now it is 90˚ in my office. I cannot concentrate. I want to go jump in the lake!
It is 100˚ outside.
I am trying to get my work done so I can go to the beach.

This painting is very famous not because of the subject matter, but because of the technical process used to create it.

The thing about this painting is that most people are interested in the technical details and not the subject. So when I went into the room to look at it, there were 15 people all crammed up next to the canvas blocking the view.

When I first look at a work of art, I usually ask, “what is the artist trying to tell me.” So it seems to me that if Georges Seurat wanted me to pay attention to the subject, then he failed. If he wanted to tell me that lots of little different colored dots can make up better color, then he succeded.
I like pets, but often times I am thankful that I don’t have any because I would probably forget to feed them.
I grew up with dogs and cats. I have many great memories of hiking through the woods with the family dog, Ginger. She was a mix of Keeshaund and German Shepard. I have a picture of her somewhere, but it is not scanned in.
We also had some cuddly cats that would do crazy things, like chase bottle caps. I would tie a bottle cap to the end of fishing line and have hours of fun!
So here are some pictures of Sam (my sister’s dearly departed SomethingRetrever Mix) and My step-mom’s cat Grady.

Have you ever wondered what seventeen thousand dollars looks like in a paper bag? Wonder no more.

The final installment in the trilogy of pictures taken on the ground.

A few years back, the building next to our house caught fire. It was low to moderate income apartments before, then they converted it into yuppie condos after the fire. Just another Chicago style eviction.

And the little tug boat turned the evil sea captain into a bronze statue. Then he banished the captain to the shore facing inland so he can hear the sounds of the sea, but never gaze upon the beauty of the open waters again.
THE END

On Saturday we went to the Museum of Contemporary Art. Afterwards we went for a walk and ended up sitting next to the Chicago river. While we were there, a wedding party showed up with photographers in tow. Boats on the river were shouting “CONGRATULATIONS!” over their loudspeakers and blowing their horns.
