A Somber Anniversary
14 years ago today my mom died. It was devastating because she had been battling cancer for almost two years and we thought it was in remission. It suddenly reappeared and she died very quickly.
Feb. 5th is a day I just think about mom. She was very young when she was married and she died when she was fairly young. Now that I am older I realize just how young she was. She lived a full life in 44 1/2 years. She had 2 children and 1 grand child. She was lucky because many people never live to see their grand kids.
